UNREAL RETURNS FROM WORKING ON 'THE HOBBIT'
After a very successful 6 months on 'The Hobbit' setting up the silicone prosthetics department, responsible for running all dwarven facial prosthetics, with some lifecasting, some test make-ups and running the foam department on the side at Weta Workshop, it's time to focus on other scheduled projects on the other side of the globe.

TIL SCHWEIGER ZWEIOHRKUEKEN PREMIERE IN BERLIN
On 24 november the film TIL SCHWEIGER ZWEIOHRKUEKEN had its premiere in Berlin. The film is the sequel to KEINOHRHASEN.
UNREAL created three 'big' prosthetic effects to be revealed after the premiere of the movie.

RTL4-star Wendy van Dijk is Lucretia
LUCRETIA, a black TV-presenter from the Caribbean island Curacao, is the new alter ego of Wendy van Dijk for the Dutch RTL-television program 'Ushi en van Dijk'.
UNREAL designed and created a one-piece silicone prosthetic, silicone gloves, a fatsuit, dentures and a wig, transforming Wendy van Dijk into this great but also a bit peculiar diva.

De modeachtbaan van Piet Paris in Arnhem
ARNHEM - Niet de kleding, maar de paspoppen zijn het eerste wat opvalt bij de Arnhem Mode Biënnale. De meeste paspoppen op de tentoonstelling Shape zijn namelijk gemaakt van siliconen en zo levensecht dat je zou zweren met echte modellen te maken te hebben. Vrijdag opende prinses Máxima de derde editie van de Arnhem Mode Biënnale, waarvan de tentoonstelling Shape het hoogtepunt is.
De tentoonstelling, samengesteld door mode-illustrator en artistiek leider Piet Paris, begint op vijf meter hoogte en slingert als een houten catwalk door de binnenstad van Arnhem. Op die catwalk zijn tien paviljoens gebouwd waarin Paris zijn visie op vorm prijsgeeft.
Vorm, de essentie van een kledingstuk, heeft Paris verdeeld in drie onderdelen: traditie, verbazing en concept. Het zijn abstracte thema's die levendig worden verbeeld met exclusieve kledingstukken van internationale ontwerpers als Rodarte, Thom Browne, Jil Sander, Proenza Schouler. Een van de grootste overwinningen van Paris was het jawoord van Rei Kawakubo, ontwerpster van Comme des Garçons, voor het afstaan van een aantal kledingstukken.
De Arnhem Mode Biënnale duurt tot 6 juli.

Mannequin prosthetic
For the suit brand Van Gils, a mannequin prosthetic mask and gloves were made to be worn by a mystery man. This man travelled Europe accompanied by beautiful women attending glamorous parties. Several European shoots were done including Venice, Belgium, Stockholm, Copenhagen and London with beauties ranging from miss Belgium to Pamela Anderson. This resulted in an enomous amount of international media coverage.

Einstein look-a-like
An Einstein look-a-like make-up was executed by Carola in Capetown for a new Albert Schweizer Movie. A great collaboration with our german collegues who supplied the prosthetics.
Change in appearance
A cool new character is developed for a dutch celebrity. A prosthetic disguise make-up including dentures, full facial and neck prosthetics and bodysuit were made. More info to be revealed at a later stage.

Bald again
Already bald Dutch sports commentator Umberto Tan was made bald yet again for an Unox commercial! A combination of baldcaps, wigs and post production made him reveal his “thru” afro hairstyle, hiding underneath his “baldcap-disguise”.

A commercial for the dutch Animal Protection Agency (Dierenbescherming) was provided with cat and dog prosthetics and masks. A lot of flocking!
