RINGCON
Ringcon 2003
For Ringcon 2003 UNREAL was invited
to do an actual Orc make-up demo from
LOTR. Orginal prosthetics, costumes were
sent from the Weta Workshop.
Fan transformed in a Orc
A fan (Regina) was selected to be
transformed into an Orc. Her hair is covered
by a baldcap and the teeth are fitted.
Prosthetic glued into place
The first foam latex prosthetic piece is
glued into place.
Glued and blended
The face piece is glued down and blended
onto the surrounding area's.
Ears
The slush latex ears go on last.
A little break
After all pieces are blended, it's time
for a break.
Pax base colors
Next the PAX Basecolors are applied
with make-up sponges.
Eyes
Care is taken to apply PAX around the eyes.
Airbruch
Airbrushes are used to create more
detail in the paintjob.
Hairpieces
After the paintjob is finished the hairpieces
are glued in place.
Costume and armour
The Orc is dressed several layers of
costume and armour.
Final touch
Final touches like 'sliming up' take place.
